Learning and Exploration
Art
This is an area where children get a chance to just express themselves through creative expression. They are exposed and encouraged to use a verity of items to achieve this goal and build this skill.
Cognitive
This area of development challenges children to use their thinking skills and think outside the box to complete a task or master a skill.
Music
Music is soothing to the soul :). Children will be exposed to different forms of music and sound that will broaden their knowledge of different types of music. They are encouraged to use instruments to play along and dance with the music.
Social-Emotional
This area of development is where children learn to interact with their peers. They are learning to listen to each other, communicate effectively, share, consider each other's feelings, and work through conflict.
Small and Gross Motor
This area of development is where children love to test the limits of their bodies and their limbs. Children will have indoor and outdoor opportunities to move their bodies.
Language and Literacy
This area of development introduces children to letters and their sounds. Develops the understanding that letters make words. They are exposed to going on adventures through reading age-appropriate stories and are encouragd to speak about their real world expereinces that may connect to a story or activity.
